Dear Meyzi,

1. I am writing to express the very warm thanks of Europa Nostra united with the International Castles Institute for the excellent way in which you and your Iliada Tourism helpers looked after our 130-strong party during the whole of our six-day stay in mid-September. It was of course an unusual mix of conference on the one hand, and cultural and social programs on the other. All our members were delighted.
2. In general, everything went very well indeed. Where there were problems, they were never the fault of Iliada Tourism; but you were first-class in helping us to sort them out. And it was all done with the charm and unfailing good humour which we much appreciated.
3. I am well aware that such results do not happen by accident, and I know they are a great deal harder to achieve in Istanbul than in for example this country.
4. I would like you to know that the Conference was very important for our organization. The delightful ambiance which you helped so much to create was an important element in ensuring that it was a great success.
